Overview
English Club Laos is a locally managed, community-based learning center dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality English education in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Our learning community brings together children, teenagers, university students, adults, monks and novices from diverse backgrounds, creating an inclusive space where everyone can develop their English skills, build confidence and expand future opportunities.
Learning extends beyond the classroom through interactive lessons, conversation practice, cultural exchange, and collaboration with international volunteers. These experiences help students strengthen their communication skills while fostering cross-cultural understanding, meaningful friendships and global connections.
As a local non-profit organization, English Club Laos receives no government funding or ongoing external financial support. Program fees and donations are reinvested directly into maintaining our learning center, supporting local teachers, developing educational resources and providing free and affordable English education for disadvantaged learners.
By connecting local students with volunteers from around the world, English Club Laos creates an inspiring learning environment where education, culture and community come together to create lasting positive impact.
OUR STUDENTS
English Club Laos welcomes students of all ages and English levels, from beginners to more advanced learners. Our classes are designed to develop practical communication skills through engaging, student-centered learning.
Students study reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation, listening, vocabulary and speaking in a supportive classroom environment led by experienced local teachers and international volunteers.
We offer classes for primary and secondary school students, university students, working adults, monks, and novices. Small class sizes encourage active participation and provide students with more opportunities to practice English with both teachers and volunteers.
Our goal is to help every student build confidence, improve communication skills and gain the knowledge needed for education, employment and future success.
CLASSROOM
At English Club Laos Community, we provide structured English courses designed to help students build a strong foundation in the language. Our classes are taught by qualified local teachers and supported by international volunteers, creating an engaging and interactive learning environment.
Our curriculum focuses on developing the four essential language skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing while also strengthening grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and communication skills. Students are placed according to their English level, from Pre-Beginner to Pre-Intermediate, ensuring that every learner receives appropriate guidance and support
CONVERSATION CLASS
Our English Conversation Classes give students the opportunity to practice speaking English in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment. These sessions improve fluency, pronunciation, listening skills and confidence through real-life conversations and interactive activities.
Led by international volunteers, conversation classes encourage students to communicate naturally while learning about different cultures and perspectives. Lessons include discussions, role-plays, games, debates, group activities and everyday communication topics that help students develop practical speaking skills
FREE ENGLISH EDUCATION
we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to learn English, regardless of their financial circumstances. Through the generous support of our volunteers, donors and community partners, we provide free, year-round English education for novice and disadvantaged students in Luang Prabang.
Our mission is to empower students with practical English skills that build confidence, open doors to higher education and employment and enable meaningful communication with people from around the world.
